Blog Upgraded

When I started this blog, I launched it with a version of WordPress which was released the same week. Since then, I’ve resisted the urge to upgrade with every software update. After chatting with Ogre, I decided I may as well upgrade. He needs to do the same — his is more out-dated than mine was.

Along with the software upgrade, I went with another theme. This one looks pretty nice. I haven’t looked at each page, but I like what I’ve seen so far. What do you think of the change?

    While I don’t use WordPress on Railwolf.com, I do experiment with it, and I’ve found that they do release updates frequently. And as with most scripts, upgrading isn’t fun.

    Upgrading wasn’t too bad. I was only a couple of releases behind, so the upgrading process was pretty easy. One thing I need to remember is to backup my mysql db more often. I hadn’t done it since I installed the software – stupid, stupid, stupid!

    Anyway, that habit will change. I feel bad for Ogre, though – he uses his own template and his version is very out of date. Sometimes updating old software can be problematic.

    Yeah, I definitely like this theme better than the other one. Right now, I discovered that my site is down–not sure what’s going on. I’ll have to get in touch with Noah (which I need to, anyway).

    With my template, I’ll have to do some modifications, but hopefully it won’t be too bad.

    Yeah, me neither. I guess maybe the server was having some issues. I should really back it up right now 😉
