TeamViewer Frustrations

I’ve been using TeamViewer to connect to a friend’s PC and all of a sudden it doesn’t work. We’ve both updated our versions to the latest and still I can’t connect to him. He can connect to me. It’s inconvenient that I have to wait for him to be online at the same time because our schedules are completely different.

I wasn’t able to find much info on the web as far as support goes. The WaitforConnectFailed message doesn’t generate very many results on Google and the official TeamViewer site doesn’t have any help on it whatsoever.

    Hello James,
    We know about the “WaitForConnectFailed” problem and work on it. In the current version (5.0.8703) in most cases it should be fixed. Nevertheless in some special cases it does not work. To solve your problem we need your logfiles of your TeamViewer. Is it possible to send us the logfiles to support@teamviewer.com? You can find them under “Extras” ==> “Open logfiles”.

    Thanks, Inga. I sent in my logfile shortly after posting this blog entry and am awaiting a response.

    I just installed OS X Lion 7.02 and I suddenly started getting this message when I attempt to contact the Windows XP (SP 2) machine from my iMac… Is this problem being fixed?

    PS: I was running Snow Leopard and had no problems.

    Use the support email, Jim. I don’t use Mac so I don’t know anything about it.
