They were supposed to be lower cost than Blu-Ray, since the production cost was to be more like that of regular DVDs. And Wal-Mart and Best Buy are phasing out HD-DVD altogether, which means there will be good deals on the HD-DVD movie discs. Hmm...might find a bargain, but somehow I bet the movie studios will have something to say about that. They'd rather see discs destroyed than sold lower than what they want them to sell for. Yeah. One good thing for high-def is the fact the TVs keep getting cheaper. And I agree with you that people need to wait for the next generation of Blu-Ray.
